Wages and working conditions set at Walmart have a ripple-effect throughout all jobs: low wages, limited access to health care, and no retirement security.
Verizon
Verizon Communications has been rebranded VeriGreedy for its treatment of workers and the communities where Verizon operations are located (for avoiding taxes on income and properties). VeriGreedy helped secure its position as the 1% Telecommunications Company by paying outrageous salaries to top executives ($210 million to six people between 2008-2010) while demanding givebacks of $20,000 per worker per year in contract negotiations.
